Law enforcement agencies in Australia have uncovered a network of pedophiles operating in social networks. 11 suspects were arrested, writes the Daily Mail.
The men arrested by the police are between 18 and 41 years old. At least four of them have already been convicted of sexual offences against minors. They were reportedly acting on Facebook, their targets being teenage girls, the youngest of whom was 13 years old.
The coordinated actions of the perpetrators affected 140 victims, 23 of whom eventually experienced episodes of sexual violence. Most of the cases that were charged did not involve direct physical contact — the attackers had enough interaction on social networks. Their computers were confiscated.
In June, it was reported that Australian police uncovered a gang of pedophiles who recorded and distributed sexual material involving young children. Perverts created an online community where they shared similar videos and photos.
